for iPhone, iPad & Android

Brainytrainee makes free mobile games in two genres that players usually go to Roblox for: obby obstacle courses and virtual pet simulators. Every one installs from the App Store or Google Play and plays on its own — no Roblox account, no platform login.

Standalone, not a platform

What You Get — and What You Don't

If you searched for games like Roblox on mobile, you were probably after one of two things: the obby courses — run, jump, fall, retry — or the pet sims where you look after an animal and decorate its home. Those are the two things we build, as standalone apps rather than experiences inside another platform.

That difference matters in both directions. A standalone game installs and runs without an account, works offline for the core gameplay and is rated by Apple and Google as a single product. What it does not give you is the rest of Roblox: no user-generated worlds from other players, no cross-game avatar, no social platform. If those are what you want, our games are not a substitute — and we say so plainly rather than pretending otherwise.

How to choose

Obby or Virtual Pet?

Pick an obby game if…

  • you want a challenge you can retry instantly
  • short levels beat long sessions for you
  • you like courses that punish sloppy timing
  • building your own course sounds fun

Pick a virtual pet game if…

  • you want something calm rather than competitive
  • a few minutes a day suits you better than long runs
  • you like caring, dressing up and decorating
  • you would rather unlock a story than a leaderboard place

Devices

iPhone, iPad and Android

All of our games are built for touch first and ship on both mobile platforms, with two exceptions worth knowing before you install.

Play on iPhone and iPad

All four games are on the App Store and need iOS 15.0 or later. They run on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and the layout adapts to the larger iPad screen rather than being stretched. Mega Obby and Prison Escape are localised into 16 languages; Cat Simulator and Talking Dog are currently English only.

Play on Android phones and tablets

Three of the four games are on Google Play: Mega Obby, Prison Escape and Talking Dog — the last of these listed as Virtual Pet Simulator - Archie. Cat Simulator has not been published for Android yet, so there is no official Android download for it; we will link one here when the listing goes live.

Ratings, Ads and Purchases

App Store ratings vary by game: Mega Obby, Cat Simulator and Talking Dog are rated 4+, while Prison Escape is rated 9+. The three Android releases are rated Everyone on Google Play. No game has open chat between players. All four sell an auto-renewing subscription whose free trial becomes a weekly charge — that, and how to block purchases at device level, is covered on one page.

FAQ

Common Questions

Are these games like Roblox?+

They cover two of the genres people play on Roblox — obby obstacle courses and pet simulators — as standalone mobile games. They are not a replacement for the Roblox platform: there are no user-generated worlds made by other players, no shared avatar across games and no social platform. Brainytrainee is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.

Do I need a Roblox account to play?+

No. Every Brainytrainee game installs from the App Store or Google Play and runs on its own. There is no Roblox account, login or platform connection involved.

What is an obby game?+

An obby — short for obstacle course — is a platformer where you run, jump and dodge hazards to reach the end of a course. Our guide to obby games explains where the genre came from and how the mobile version differs from the Roblox one.

Are Brainytrainee games free?+

Yes, all four are free to download. Optional in-app purchases cover cosmetic items, extra modes and removing ads, and every payment goes through Apple's or Google's own purchase system.

Which devices do the games run on?+

iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on iOS 15.0 or later, and Android phones and tablets through Google Play. Cat Simulator is currently iPhone and iPad only.

What age ratings do the games carry?+

They differ per game, so it is worth checking the one you want. On the App Store, Mega Obby, Cat Simulator and Talking Dog are rated 4+ and Prison Escape is rated 9+. On Google Play all three published games carry Everyone. Across the catalogue the action is cartoon-style, there is no gore and there is no open chat between players. Our guidance for parents covers ratings, in-app purchases, ads and device-level controls in detail.
