Editorial Policy
This site is written by the company that publishes the games on it. That is a conflict of interest, not a secret, and these are the rules we follow to keep the content useful anyway.
Who publishes this site
brainytrainee.com is owned and written by Brainytrainee Ltd, the publisher of the four games listed on it. Nothing here is an independent review. Where an article compares our games with games from other studios, we say so at the top of the article and explain the criteria before naming anything.
Where product facts come from
In order of precedence: the live App Store and Google Play listings; our own development and product records; and, for anything about another company's product, that company's own published material.
Every store-sourced fact on this site — names, publisher, app IDs, ratings, content ratings, versions, availability — carries the date it was last checked against the live listing. If a figure is more than three months old it is due for re-verification, and figures that cannot be re-verified are removed rather than left in place.
How we handle ratings and numbers
We publish a store rating only when that store currently displays one, and we label it with the store, the rating count and the verification date. We never average Apple and Google ratings together, and we never carry a rating from one store onto the other.
Where a store shows no rating — Google Play currently shows none for Prison Escape or Talking Dog — we show nothing at all, on the page and in the structured data.
We do not publish download or revenue totals. Publisher-side install numbers are not independently checkable, and third-party market-intelligence estimates are estimates. If we ever cite one it will be labelled as an estimate with its source and date.
Comparisons and superlatives
An article titled "best" has to say what best means before it says which. Our comparison guides state the criteria first, so you can apply them to games we do not make.
Where a genre is better served by another studio's game, we say that. We do not rank our own games above other studios' games — a publisher ranking itself first is not a ranking. We do not accept payment for a mention and have no affiliate arrangements.
Trademarks and comparison to other platforms
We reference Roblox descriptively, because the obby genre grew up there and that is what players search for. Brainytrainee is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation, and Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. We do not use the Roblox logo or branding, and we do not claim our games replace the Roblox platform — our guides say the opposite explicitly.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, email business@brainytrainee.com and we will fix it. Factual corrections to product data are made as soon as they are verified against the store listing. Substantive corrections to an article are noted on the article rather than made silently.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help draft and edit copy. Everything published is reviewed by a person against the store listings and product records before it goes live, and no product fact enters the site without being checked against its source. Responsibility for what is published rests with us, not with a tool.
